here we are - life is busy - isn't it???

how many days have passed since i last blogged? David is in a cartoon drawing class. He's really enjoying it. School is tough this year. He's still doing well, but the teacher really grades hard. The kids who struggle are really having a tough time. In fact 2 kids have already left the class and gone to another school.

I really wanted to do 26 things photo challenge - I even took some photos specifically for it, but I just run out of time. Sorry to disappoint you Mom.

Just about the time I say I don't need something it seems I need it. Dad recently asked about OCR software - I said I didn't need it. Now that I have my cool new scanner I've found more uses for it. I just scanned in David's vocabulary words and made a quiz for him rather than me going thru them verbally one by one.

We went for what was perhaps our last swim of the season. It was really nice out today. Too bad you have to spend most of it in the office. That pesky day job getting in the way of my life again. Of course, without it, life sure would be different. I guess I'll count my blessings. TV sure has changed. Remember when we used to look forward to the fall lineup? Pray for New Orleans - they're sure going to get hit hard.

Okay so - maybe I was just hungry. Had a burger king grilled shrimp caesar salad - only 7 WW pts and really tasty. Feeling a little better now so I updated my blog photos with some of our garden. Take a look at that yummy green pepper. For some reason they taste bette when you grow them yourself.

Oh yeah - my Monday Madness:
1. You are given 1 million dollors. You must give it all away before the donor gives you $1 million. Who would you give it to? Church school - Autism society - family members
2. If you had $1 million what would you do with it FIRST? Pay off all our debts
3. Do you participate in lotteries? Not very often - every now and then when it's really big
4. Name 3 of your best physical features. brain, teeth, hair
5. ..... 3 of your biggest virtues. kind, giving, helpful
6. ......3 or you biggest vices. chocolate, ice cream, cheese popcorn
7. ...... 3 of your favorite pleasures in life. hiking in the woods, spending time with those I love, seeing my son happy
8 If you were a member of the opposite sex, what would you choose to do for your occupation? no difference - programmer isn't bad - they're all jobs in my opinion - sex has nothing to do with it.
9. If you were to come back after death as another animal, what animal would you choose to be? now you said any animal - not pet necessarilly, so I'd say an eagle
10. What kind of 'baby' are you... water, clouds, beach, garden? I don't understand the question

So today I had a co_ _ nos _ _ _y - fill in the blanks. I guess the worst part was drinking 4 liters of horrid stuff that cleans you out literally. They did find and remove one small polyp so I guess its good that I went. They must routinely send them in to be checked because he said they mentioned biopsy. The drugs really affect your ability to remember. The not eating real food for 1 and a half days or drinking diet coke wasn't a whole lot of fun either. I must be addicted to caffeine because I had the worst headache this morning. Well, off to bed. It reallytakes a lot out ofyou.

Haven't blogged since 3/13 - at least that's 2004 - and boy has Blogger ever changed their look. It seems neater looking. They didn't delete me after all this time so I guess that's a good thing. Natalie, where do you find time to do all that blogging and creating patches and blinkies and such? I can barely keep my sites up to date. I did finally update my personal website (www.kolbplace.com). Summer was pretty busy. Early on in the summer / late spring we started a garden. It is in full bloom (so to speak). We are getting vegies - pretty cool! The end of July we took our week long vacation to the Upper Peninsula. Beautiful and enjoyable as usual. The next weekend were were home catching up on stuff. The next 3 weekends were like this: 1)church campout 2) Mom and Dad's cottage 3)Cedarpoint. The motorhome has major problems - blew a piston - so we're out of commission. All July David was signed up in art classes, SMEK, tennis lessons and swimming - so it was a very busy summer. And that's it in a nutshell. Talk to you later.
